Irritable Bowel Syndrome

Irritable Bowel Syndrome for some people is an occasional inconvenience and for others dominates their life and the choices they make. Often the doctors are unable to find a cause or provide a successful long term cure.

In my clinic I have seen many people with indigestion and IBS and have developed my own unique approach which has proved very successful.

The first stage is to carry out an allergy test to find out which foods you are eating you are struggling to digest. These are then removed from your diet for 3 weeks to give your digestive system a chance to recover. The second stage is to take a course of homeopathic remedies that build up and strengthen your bowel flora so that you are able to start re-introducing some of the foods you stopped eating without any problems. 

Allergy Testing

I use a muscle testing technique to test for intolerances. Intolerances are different from allergies in that there is a delayed reaction from 12-72 hours after exposure to the allergen and the symptoms can be more subtle so it is often hard to make a link.

I ask you to hold your arm out in front of you while the substance that is being tested is held on a susceptible point on your face. I then push down on your arm. If you are able to resist it shows the substance being tested does not have a negative effect on you. If your arm is weak and I am able to push it down easily it shows you are affected by the substance being tested.

This test is very accurate and the results are very obvious to both me and you. Often people start off sceptical and end impressed and amazed at how simple and effective the test is.

I use this test most often to test for food intolerances but this test can be used for testing anything from pollens and dust to animal hair and metals. It is possible to use this technique on young children by testing through an adult.
